Yes, when collecting the vehicle it is necessary to leave a deposit, which represents an additional guarantee alongside the rental price itself. Certain regular or previous users may be exempt from the obligation to place a deposit, exclusively by prior decision of Royal Rent a Car Belgrade. The deposit may be placed in cash or by credit card, in which case the bank pre-authorises the funds on your account. The deposit amount is not fixed; it depends on the category of the rented vehicle, the rental duration and other services you have ordered.
The deposit is retained as security throughout the entire rental period and serves to cover any unforeseen costs or damage arising during the use of the vehicle. If you return the vehicle in the agreed condition, the funds on your card are released in accordance with the bank’s procedures, returning the deposit to your available balance without additional costs to you.

We advise you to always have sufficient funds available on your card to avoid inconvenience when collecting the vehicle, because without a deposited security amount, unfortunately, we cannot hand over the vehicle keys and documents.
